Lead
Lead is mainly found in paint in buildings, houses and structures built prior to 1978. Lead-based paint in good condition is not consider hazardous. When the LBP is disturbed due to age - peeling, cracking, chipping or from a renovation/demolition construction project, it becomes a health hazard.
Lead can be inhaled in the form of lead dust or ingested. Low levels of lead in adults can cause health related issues such as high blood pressure, hypertension and digestive problems. Pregnant women can transfer lead to their fetus or difficulties in pregnancy. Lead is especially dangerous to children under six years of age. Lead can affect children's brains and developing nervous systems.
If you own a home or operate a childcare facilities built prior to 1978 the following steps are required when renovating or dealing with delaminated lead-based paint. Any visible LBP debris should be cleaned and vacuumed. Contact a certified lead company who will properly remove the lead debris.
We are fully certified and trained to test, analysis and remove lead based paint and lead contaminated soils.
Mold
Once upon a time Gina* lived peacefully in her condominium in Kaneohe until the condo association decided to change the drainage pattern of the property. Unfortunately this caused the water to drain down the hillside underneath her unit. In time this resulted in mold growth under the floor boards, between the walls and inside the cabinets. She sued the association and won a settlement to abate the mold and remodel her unit.
We had assisted Gina by inspecting and surveying her unit to determine the extent of the mold damage. We tested, abated and disposed of the mold contaminated floor boards, walls, cabinets, fixtures and furniture.
Mold can grow in any damp area where water is prominently located, stagnant and has no proper ventilation such as water pipe chaste, drains, water closets, leaky roofs. We offer a wide variety of services, an experienced staff and workers to help you from start to finish with your remodeling project.
